Kimberly Barber, Owner/ Trainer - USDF "L" Graduate
Kimberly believes in the potential of every horse and rider and has a passion for helping each horse and rider partnership become their best. She focuses on the development of a correct foundation in the rider's position and technique in order to work in better harmony with the horse. She works independently with her clients to develop a personalized training plan appropriate to their goals. She strives to keep her horses and riders safe and acknowledges the dangers involved in this sport and encourages good horsemanship and horse management practices - top equestrians are created as much out of the tack as they are in it.
Kimberly Barber began her riding career as a member of the United States Pony Clubs and achieved her "HA" certification. She is a USDF bronze medalist who's diverse equestrian career also includes three-day eventing through the Intermediate level, successes in H/J, polocrosse and western disciplines. She has ridden under notable trainers and judges from the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Germany. By blending training techniques from various disciplines Kimberly has developed a coaching process that trains the whole horse and rider to their top selves. She has built Creidmount Saddle Club into a successful dressage, western dressage and jumping program serving her individual clients, an active IEA team and the hunt seat IHSA team at Western Washington University. Kimberly was honored as Coach of the Year at LWSC in 2018 and the Coach Sportsmanship at IEA Nationals 2023. She has also presented at the NW WA Horse Expo and the Great Alaska Horse Expo. Her dedication to the development of versatile riders of any discipline also landed her as a guest on Horse Talk Live with two other colleagues from the PNW. Kimberly currently lives in Lynden, WA with her husband Cary, daughter Cadence and son Korbin .
